There are a lot of reasons for students to come to school, but the first and foremost is learning. Learning comes easy for some and is more difficult for others. Academic counseling can help support all students - from those seeking new challenges to those working to stay afloat. School counselors can provide tools, techniques and tips to get students back on track, maintain their learning objectives and move into the next level.

The Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
The ILP meeting is currently held formally with every 9th and 11th grade student and a parent/guardian. This meeting covers high school performance and progress to date, academic and post-secondary goal setting, completing the four year course of study for the remaining high school years, and starting the conversation about what comes next.
These meetings are strongly encouraged and is held at specific times throughout the year by grade. Each meetings is about 30 minutes in duration and requires advanced appointment. |
