NTHS Local & Regional Scholarships
Most scholarships for high school students are offered during a student's senior year. Most of our graduates receive the large percentage of aid offered via need-based providers (FAFSA/CSS Profile/Universities), our local/regional scholarship providers and the merit-based aid offered from colleges and universities.
We provide a list of our local and regional scholarships in 2 formats: electronically through the student and parent Naviance Family Connection accounts. See the images below to help you navigate to the Scholarship List. We also print many of the applications/flyers and post them in the NTHS front office for students and parents to browse and copy. These lists are by no means comprehensive, but a wonderful place to start. We try to share as many scholarship opportunities as we are aware of.

National Level Scholarships
There are several national level scholarship searches from FastWeb to BigFuture to SallieMae. Below you will find a list of some of the larger national scholarships available, but there are thousands available to choose from.
A piece of advice I offer to students is to judge the value/energy and time vs potential reward. Many of the national scholarships may offer $1k or $50k or higher, but there are also tens of thousands of applicants each year. I tend to think of many of these scholarships as "sweepstakes" more than scholarships. You have a chance at, sometimes, big money - but the odds are also very high. Often you sacrifice a little personal privacy (you are giving your information to the company and may get marketing materials in return) when applying to some national scholarships.
They are valid and valuable for students - but each student will need to evaluate their time and energy and if it is worth submitting each scholarship. We do not maintain this list throughout the year (but will update it at the beginning of each school year for additions or errors).
